This audit found that GITA, as the
state-wide coordinator for information technology, should take a stronger
leadership role by doing more to ensure that agencies consistently adhere to
GITA’s IT security standards and comply with privacy standards, identify and
help address state-wide IT training needs, and apply its expertise more
directly to IT procurements. Additionally, GITA could do more to improve its
state agency IT project review process and enhance state agency IT project
management efforts.
